Pre and Post Surgery

Dear insansapinas,

As I was waiting for my name to be called for prepping before the surgery last week, an old lady asked me what's my surgery for. Naaah it is not all written in my face. That waiting room is for surgery patients. She must be already in her 80s. Without me asking, she confided that they are going to operate on her shoulder. She fractured her right shoulder while reaching for something which prompted the doctors to fix  it only to return later because of infection that set in caused by a bacteria Ngiii. According to the old woman, a ball of antibiotics was inserted in the muscles and bones of her shoulder so that they need not inject it to her. She did not finish her story because she was already escorted by a nurse to a holding room.

Yesterday, a hospital staff called me to follow up how I am and what problems I had  after the discharge. Instead of  a kilometric survey she asked me how was my stay in the hospital. That is what made it different from the other hospitals. It was more personalized.
Anyway, I should have known na pwede pala akong tumakbo sa emergency for my painkillers. Terminal stupidity ang nagpahirap sa akin pagtiis ng walang painkillers for a couple of days. Arghhh.

Boink.
