I grew up in Angeles City and our favorite religion teacher used to call DAU (where PX goods are peddled regardless whether they were genuine or not) CITY. 


Dau is just a barrio in the municipality of Mabalacat, Pampanga for which a bill is being passed for its cityhood.

RH Bill 5666 declaring waling waling as second national flower

The House of Representatives recently approved on second reading House Bill 5655, declaring the orchid a national flower.Rep Mylene Garcia-Albano (2nd district, Davao City), the author of the bill, said the Waling-waling (Euanthe sanderiana or Vanda sanderiana) is an indigenous and endemic species of plant, compared to the Sampaguita (Jasminium sambac), which originated from India and Arabia.

What good would this bring to the suffering economy and hardship of the Filipino people?  Will the students even know that we have two national flowers if the teachers themselves don't know??
