Flu Vaccine
Isa sa mga hindi pinalalagpas ng mga tao dito ay ang flu vaccine. Simula October, pumupunta sila sa kanilang doctor para magpavaccinate.
This morning, I had a doctor's appointment and I was surprised that the reception room is overflowing. But it does not take more than twenty minutes to be vaccinated. And they were given more prorities, I presumed because I was there sitting for more than half hour and I was not yet summoned by my doctor in the office.
Medical assistants went in and out of the door with their small laptops calling the patients' name.
I could have brought also the Pad but I rather watch people than lose myself in the cyberspace.
Parang fashion show. Gone were the ugly dresses worn during summer to beat the heat. Now the people are wearing color coordinates, slacks, sweaters and jackets. Sa upuan, magkatabi ang mga babaeng may suot na green, yellow, red. Sumama rin ang babaeng nakapurple ng blouse, purple na sweater at purple na jacket. Parang gusto ko ng bulanglang.
Akala ko ako lang may suot ng snakeskin na jacket. Lumabas sa pinto ang babaeng nakasuot din ng faux snake skin na blouse and pants ensemble. Ang inner jacket naman niya ay leopard pati na ang kaniyang outer jacket. Tiningnan ko kung may kasunod siyang cobra o leopard as pet. Buti wala. ahem.
Sabi ko sa internal medicine specialist. Nahihilo ako, hindi naman ako buntis. erase erase erase. Mababa daw ang platelets ko. Yong ban yong plato sa dugo? Mababa raw, maiakyat nga sa mesa.
Noon hindi ko pansin ang mga blood test pero ang doctor ko ang nag-eesssplain kung ano ang mga may "watch out" tag.
Pag-uwi ko, happy ako at matandang babae ang driver. Pagdating ko sa bahay, para yatang naiwan ko ang aking espiritu sa bilis ng pagdadrive nong ale.
