|Judas kissing Jesus|
What's good in the betrayal is that corruption that is privy only to a few is being unraveled to the public. The irony of it is that participants in this cenaculo are themselves katas ng corruption. I do not mean the whistleblowers only. I am referring to some of the "honorable" legislators of the nation.
Betrayal kills. The first known victim was Jesus Christ. He was betrayed for 30 silver coins by Judas who in turn killed himself. Come ot think of it, siya rin ang may hawak ng budget ng mga Apostles. The blood money which was returned to the high priests was used to buy a cemetery lot for people who died while visiting the place.
The greater the trust to a person who betrayed, the greater is the distress and emotional impact to the one betrayed.
When a person feels that he has been betrayed, he may seek for justice or revenge. The revenge may take a lifetime involving generations.
As I have said, it takes a whole village to make a corruption possible, There are so many people involved. In an organization, the accountant would be the first to know if there is an anomaly. The auditor too. The signatory of the check. The person who authorized the transaction. The beneficiary of the windfall.
Once a person is suspected of graft, all people in his office are no doubt involved.
People who do not want to be involved simply get out of the organization or turn blind to what's going on.
But there is another party to corruption---the Corruptor. The Private companies which get the contract as suppliers.
The corruption practices in the military have been there regardless who the administrators were. It is only the faces and the names which changed. As there is a new administration, a new group of contractors would like to have the piece of the cake too. Flat.
When I was just a new accountant, I have seen how money was paid to government officials. Our company was one of the suppliers which delivered ghost purchases,
Hindi ako nagtagal doon. Nakakasuka. Ngayon. Aktibo rin. May ambisyon pang maging presidente. Katas ng Corruption.
