Travel Tips

Dear insansapinas,

I did not intend to write about travel tips because I expect people especially those whose digital toys seemed to be additional appendages in their bodies would simply GOOGLE things about places where they would like to go, airline rules and weather/climate of their destinations.

Sorry but when I read that someone  who claims she's smart but asks webnetizens about airline baggage requirements, I like to roll my eyes like a watch being wound.
1. Know the maximum number and weights allowed by the airline and the carry-on bag that you can put in the overhead compartment. You can find these information in their website.  There are airlines which allow a passenger one laptop, a camera and a jacket aside from the carry-on luggage.

When I was going to San Francisco, a ground personnel was charging me additional for my jacket. Gusto niya bulatlatin ko pa ang aking check-in baggage for the jacket.

I don't bring my leather jacket sa Pinas. Ang INIT anoh. Kagaya noong kasabay kong kaibigan, nakajacket ng leather, nakaboots ng knee-high at nakaaviator glasses. SUS. Tseh.

2. Know the weather/climate of your destination. MAULAN at MAULAN seasons.

Kaya nga dito, machecheck mo ang weather by city or even by district.

When I was in Bay Area and residing outside San Francisco  (across the Bay Bridge), nagmumukha akong tangang may dalang payong dahil umuulan sa aming lugar at pagdating ko sa SF downtown maliwanag naman ang sikat ng araw. During cold seasons, people use layering in terms of dressing.
SF is an area which is a favorite of Filipinos because of its whole year round cold weather.

3. When coming or going out of the States check the TSA website what stuffs are allowed and prohibited in the cabin. They advise what locks are preferred by the TSA. These locks can be universally opened by the master keys of the security personnel. So all the while bukas ang iyong luggage.
