McDonald's BILMOKO ad

Dear insansapinas,
I attribute my interest in Willlie's case to my teaching stint in the Graduate School where discussions were more  focused on case analyses rather than on memorization of the organization, management and marketing principles. Students were made to identify the problem, analyze the SWOT and come up with a recommendation. I am more on monitoring how the management of TV 5 is trying to effect damage control and reach a resolution where they would emerge as someone which values corporate social
responsibility.

No, I don't care about the self-appointed moralists who thumped their chests and announced to the world how the social media brought down the high and mighty Willie Revillame to his knees .

Between an episode in a TV program which may have been viewed by some segments of population only (in fact the self-appointed moralists did not want to get caught watching WW which they perceived to be a no-brainer may have just relied on the video which could have been spliced and  on their became the basis of their so-called " opinion") and a TV commercial which is aired in all programs, the latter has more impact on the viewers.

Watch this video which was pulled out due to the CBCP's
criticism.

In the 30-second commercial, the girl is seen asking the boy if she can be his girlfriend. The boy says he isn’t ready because girlfriends can be too demanding and tend to want many things.
But he changes his mind when the girl tells him that all she wants is a packet of french fries from McDonald’s, costing P25.
What's wrong?

CHILD ABUSE?

Come to think of it, the good that came out from  the child abuse controversy is the vigilance for human rights of children and promotion of positive family values. Sa mga self-appointed moralists na may mga issues din sa kanilang pamilya, it is a free publicity.
