Hindi pa patay
Dear insansapinas,
Since I have no appointment with my doctor today Wednesday, I managed to watch the impeachment trial in the video, live. Seconded by other corporate lawyers/experts, natuliro ang witness.
As accounting student, we were required to take up accounting for dissolution and liquidation of a corporation. Kaya I know, hindi kaagad patay ang corporation dahil marami pang i-sesettle na mga receivables, liabilities, disposal of assets at iba pang business activities.
In my lecture about finance, I can not exclude the discussion of the three types of business organization, to wit: single proprietorship, partnership and corporation. I always mention the advantages of each particularly corporation which is the most stable among the three. Single proprietorship is dissolved upon the death of the owner not unless magmulto ito. *heh* A partnership is dissolved even with the withdrawal or entry of another partner. While corporators may come and go, corporation still exists until it is voluntarily or involuntarily dissolved. The SEC official claimed that the agency has the authority to dissolve. So a legal memo is being requested as to the veracity of his claim.
Boom.
Come again?
Toinkk.
Ito ang transcript ng usapan namin:
Doctor: I am sorry to hear that you got another cancer. Your breast surgeon sent me the report.
Me: Just thinking. (kanino bang witness si Hernandez).
Doctor: Frankly, I can not find the lump but it appears in the mammo, ultra and MRI.

2. ATENEO - Law Meet the Battalion not the Battery
Dear insansapinas,
This coming Monday, the impeachment trial of SCJ Corona is going to start. If I were him, I'll really be scared. He is not facing a battery of lawyers as prosecutors--but a battalion of them.
For the purpose of recognizing the people in this coming "teleserye"
to find out who make the booboos and who are the heroes and anti-heroes I published here the backgrounds of the eleven House Prosecutors and names of the 57 prosecuting attorneys. Magigiba ang favorite legal oriented drama series kong The Good Wife nito. hehehehe.
Another purpose is to correct the wrong notions of the some observers about the prosecutors. Naaah, not all of them were Ateneo graduates--only six out of 11. The education profile of the lead prosecutor can not be found in Google.
Being a lifetime member of PICPA is not an achievement. All you have to do is to pay the lifetime membership fee.
Filipino lawyers and accountants (in the past years) were given reciprocity by some States in the US. Nothing to crow about.
Practising lawyers still need to research and study cases. The reviewers and and professors review textbook theories books and review materials. What if you are not practicing at all? Follow Miriam's advice. Study the impeachment procedures.
