Black and White

Dear insansapinas,

Naah Virginia na malapit sa Washington DC, I am not referring to the group which helped Pnoy  win the election. They're now enjoying the fruits of their "labor" as  power brokers of the administration. I am not also referring to the song of Michael Jackson which video I enjoy watching especially the Bollywood dancer.

This is about the skin whitener product which supposed to give fairer skin " and the Filipinos' penchant for products that make them look like they're mestisas.  For many, maputi ka lang maganda ka na. : rolleyes:
Illegal injections of a cancer-treating chemical pose a risk of death to legions of Filipinos who use them to try to whiten their skin, health authorities warned Tuesday.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) suspects the drug glutathione is being injected in high doses as a skin-whitener, but said it can cause serious conditions including kidney failure and blood poisoning.

I am not blessed with fair skin.

Even  when I was already in college, I had a  professor who claimed that he did not see me when he called the roll. Maitim daw kasi.

Sabi nga eh, heads will roll not down but to a different direction. Para bang ibinaling lang sa kaliwa. Ohoy.

No Smoking Law

Noon pa palang 2003 na ipasa ang No Smoking Law in public places pero hindi isinasakatuparan. Bakit? Ano raw?

War Stories- Were the amulets effective during the war ?

 Dear insansapinas,

Tomorrow is Memorial Day in the United States. Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. soldiers who died while in the military service. It was extended after World War I to honor Americans who have died in all wars.

This morning, the movie of Gregory Peck, MacArthur, a story about the return of the General in the Philippines as promised during World War 2 is being shown in the AMC network.

So where are the amulets, I am talking about? Patience Mr. Watson.

My two uncles who were UP students when the Second World War broke out enlisted in the military. They were the frontliners. Sila raw ang unang binabala sa kanyon. They were beheaded by the Japanese Imperial Army. My grandparents decided to go back to Bicol when life became hard in Manila.

The island in Bicol was not practically a ghost town when the American companies used to have their logging concessions in that part of the country sailed back to USA. It was already occupied by the Japanese. There were hospital facilities and other amenities that all they did was to bring their night bags to settle down. The deep seashores made their transfer from one island to another very convenient. Remember my story, The Sailboat?

At this point in time, the American and Filipino soldiers were either killed or became prisoners of war. Believing in the promise of I SHALL RETURN by MacArthur, the Philippine soldiers employed the guerrilla warfare until the help arrived. According to wiki, it is a form of irregular warfare and refers to conflicts in which a small group of combatants including, but not limited to, armed civilians (or "irregulars") use military tactics, such as ambushes, sabotage, raids, the element of surprise, and extraordinary mobility to harass a larger and less-mobile traditional army, or strike a vulnerable target, and withdraw almost immediately.

My father who was barely out of his teens joined the guerilla when he passed its initiation. The initiation was to kill a MAKAPILI ( a Filipino who was a TNT-turo ng turo sa mga alam nilang sundalo o guerilla). When he used this kind of initiation to another young man, the person could not sleep the nights after. He could still remember the death rattle sound  and the last gasp for life by the MAKAPILI.

True to the strategies by guerilla movements, my father's group  refrained from big military engagement lest the civilians would suffer the reprisals. It was their group who helped the civilians evacuated when the Japanese soldiers were retreating to the boondocks. IT WAS at this time when MY FATHER MET MY MOTHER (Parang HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER sitcom). They were tired and hungry. Guerillas gained the support of the people. So whenever they could, they offered them food and temporary lodging.
My father's group had a close encounter with Japanese soldiers that they had to throw away the newly cooked food in their camp; flattened the place to hide any evidence that there were people who were "camping" in that area and then they jumped at the cliff. Buti na lang dagat ang binagsakan nila.  He was shouting daw evacuate when the new kid in the block asked what EVACUATE means.

Before my father and his group left, my grandparents asked him to take my mother. The Japanese soldiers were very aggressive and fierce the last few months of the war. They did not spare even young ladies. My mother could be mistaken as a boy. She was hardly five feet and thin. Mukha raw siyang hanger pag sinuotan mo ng uniporme. Yes, Virginia, their guerilla group was recognized by the US military. But then, they always wore disguises. Her mission as in Mission impossible in the guise of a boy who played baseball with the Japanese soldiers was to report how many Japanese were in town. My mom said that some Japanese soldiers especially those who were young and probably were students too were polite.  She barely recognized my father's WANTED poster by the Japanese plastered all over the plaza. Sabi niya parang kilala niya. Notorious kasi siya pagdating sa ambush. And that was why we changed our last name, Virginia.

Nasaan ang amulet. Kulit eh.

It was the worst night of the war. Japanese were retreating. Filipino civilians were evacuating. My father was helping my mother's family-my grandparents and great grandmother.Sipsip siyempre.

While fleeing, my great grandmother tripped and could no longer stand up. She advised the family to leave her. My father asked my grandparents and my mother to run. OOOps).

My father stood up and shielded my great grandmother with his body. The Japanese soldiers merely passed them as if they were invisible.ala Ramon Revilla naman ito. Sr.

And they were really invisible. My mother said that my father had an amulet known as TAGULIWAS.

During peacetime, he discarded it.

Heartburn

Dear insansapinas,
There are many causes of heartburn or acid reflux. Some of these are Sour cream, milk shake, ice cream. orange juice, cranbeery juice, grapefruit juice and fatty foods too like ground beef, chicken with the skin (pahubarin ninyo), caffeine, etc. Even seafoods that have fats in them can aggravate heartburn symptoms.

Did he say that?

Dear insansapinas,

This is an excerpt from the speech of President Aquino during the   32nd National Conference of Employers of the Employers Confederation of the Philippines held at the Marriott on May 5, 2011.(via Resty).
“Please don’t look at this as a threat. Just imagine: In a few years, our population will undoubtedly continue to grow. Can you imagine if that growth in population were coupled with an enhanced purchasing power? Can you imagine if more Filipinos had jobs that could afford them more than just their basic needs?” said Aquino.
“An economy like that would be a boon to your businesses, which would in turn lead to expansion and the hiring of more labor. The balancing act that we are currently undertaking was envisioned to create that kind of cycle,” he said.
Frankly, my impression is that the president is too scared to offend the businessmenslashemployers by increasing the labor wage. But I won't delve on that. I will agree to his statement about the impact of population to the economy. And when you talk about the economy, you could not help but discuss production and marketing too.

Economics, Marketing and the RH Bill
What Pnoy said in his speech about economics--population as a factor in the growing economy with its PP (purchasing power) is a  glaring fact.
Whoever wrote that speech for Aquino must not have realized that it is contradicting what  he stood for and what  the RH bill advocates are pushing--that is population is the problem and therefore should be resolved (reduced).   These people can not even suggest what is the" ideal growth" rate for the Philippines to solve poverty. If you have problem with statistics or numbers, come up with what you thik is ideal. The advocates' contention is that overpopulation is its cause . In their appeal for emotion they use Salve who is poor because the family has a lot of mouth to feed. The  attention of the strategist of this sob story should be called in the case of Oprah Winfrey who was born into poverty by a single mother, they were not poor because there were so many children in the family.  Raped and pregnant at age 14, she became the richest African-American and the most influential Black woman in the World.

Can these people tell us  the ideal growth rate that would not affect the number of people in the working age in the future? Shall the country suffer the same fate of Japan where the retiring aged people may not have enough retirement benefits since there are not so many replacing the huge  Japanese labor force when the country's population growth rate decades ago was 10 per cent. Even with that population growth rates, its economy is one the fastest growing in Asia.l Since 2005, there is a negative growth rate which could be traced not to contraceptives but to the increase in life expectancy and late marriage of the young people.  There are 127 million Japanese . There are 91 million Filipinos. Why are we poor?
The pro RH Bill's argument is directed to the CBCP and the contraceptive pills. This is a myopic view of the issue. Their desperate attempt is to discredit the men of the cloth that attacks became more personal.

Economy
The economy of the Philippines grew by at least 7. 6 per cent in 2010  while the population reported an average growth rate of 1.93 . The RH Bill advocates never presented these statistics. Sabi nga sa Bicol, ngawngaw ng ngawngaw wala namang maipakitang statistics that the rate is on the uptrend. Even during the financial crisis, the Philippines posted a 3.8 average growth rate.
How will the growth rate of population affect the 5ps of Marketing?
Product-Basic products are bought and consumed by the people because they are essential to everyday living. There is no need for a lot of promotion. Luxury items are products that ordinary people without so much purchasing power can live without.
Poor people spend all of their income to basic items. As they climb to the higher economic strata, the percentage of revenues spent on the basic items decline and some percentages are spent on other items. But what is luxury before is necessity today. To many people, cell phones are a necessity. Tsus.
People -The demographic profiles of the consumers determine the kind of product that would sell to the different segements as age, sex, occupation, etc. In China, the population alone can absorb its production of the different products. The population constitutes the market or the consumers. The reduction in population is also a reduction of the market size. In Japan, they buy products of export at a premium so that Japanese tourists are eager to buy them cheaper in other countries. Problem is, they fall into scam. Made in Japan daw pero Made in China pala. hehehe
Price- The price of the product depends on the production cost. In the production process, even the wastage and  the underutilized capacities of the plant go into the production cost. Price is reduced when production capacity is maximized. It is spread over a bigger number of products manufactured.  The underutilization could be lack for demand of the product (market shrinks) or the lack of manpower (workforce shirnks)to operate on full capacity. If its an essential product, the government gives sbusidies to ensure continuous production.

Simple Joy

Dear insansapinas,
Just simply watching this "race" between a little boy and otter makes you realize that despite the calamities, the warring nations, the politics and the pure evil brought by drugs and human trafficking,  there is still simple joy to cherish. The world is not hopeless after all.

DETREVNI

Dear insansapinas,
May 28 to June 12 is National Flag Day.
Some people say that critcizing the inverted flag in the government web site is trivial. Wrong Virginia.

I was taught since I was in the elementary leading the students to sing the National Anthem while the flag was being raised that the inverted flag (red on top) signifies that the country is at war. When it is hoisted on a half mast, the nation is grieving for the passing of  a great man or a tragedy that befalls the nation. That when it is too old to use, it is burned instead of being discarded in a trash bin.

Saka di ba dapat hindi Flag Day dahil it indicated May 28 to June 12. Alangan namang Linggo kasi sobra. Ginawa na lang sana nilang isang Linggo.

Coloma owned the error made by an employee.

"Great" minds think alike? Bakit sila naghahire ng "bata" as in, hindi alam ang significance ng flag ? .I am not saying to fire the person whoever he is but at least someone's got to check what these "juveniles are doing. Eh kung hindi Philippine flag ang inilagay? Sasabihin ninyo impossible. At the rate, they are committing blunders, it  is not far  from   being remote. May seal pa naman ng Pangulo. OMG.

Malacañang's effort to promote National Flag Day this Saturday was not off to a good start, at least on the Internet.

While the Office of the President's website encouraged Filipinos to display the Philippine flag from May 28 to June 12, it displayed the Philippine flag upside down, inadvertently indicating that the Philippines is at war.

Deny, Deny, Deny

Dear insansapinas,

My friend who is going to marry should not be eating cakes, candies and chocs. Otherwise, this is what going to happen. Toinkkk.

At least I have a reason not to deny myself with  expensive sweets.
I was not feeling last night so I did not take my dinner. When I woke up, I was shivering. Low blood sugar. It's good that my brother got  a lot of chocs in the ref. The most effective of them is the Lindt Undor Truffles. But even then, today, I have to eat two (takaw talaga) to increase my blood sugar.

Diok-no

I thought Diok-nos are serious people. They don't make jokes. Now that the Chief of the Bureau of Corrections is in denial that he is responsible for the escape (habitual) of former Governor Leviste, my impression is wrong. He must be Diok-ing when he said that his function is merely policy formulation. Bakit one man committee ba siya or one man staff function who can dictate policies? In every organization, a policy is formulated by a committee or  a group of people who deliberate the pros and cons of policies and the rationale of adoption of policies. The head or the chief sees to it that these policies are implemented once they are approved an become part of the mission, vision and the other blah blah blah of the organization.

Tot-Mom

You must be aware of the case of Casey Anthony, the mother who was accused of killing her two- year old daughter, Caylee, several years ago. That she is denying that she killed her daughter. If convicted, she will face a death penalty.

The defense said that the death of the Caylee was drowning which has a lesser degree of punishment. The defense team pointed to Casey's father as the one who helped bury his granddaughter to cover up for her death. That Casey's denial  of the death of her daughter can be traced to the sexual abuse from her father.

So many people wanted out of the jury because it would take them months away from the family especially if they are sequestered. One jury claimed that nobody would take care of his wabbits; the other was no one to take care of his two dogs. Sus.

With Budget Deficit, how will they fund the implementation of RH Bill?

Dear insanspinas,

People think that just because a budget appropriation has been made, there is already funding for the bill made into law. Wrong Virginia. The government still has to look for the money. In the case of RH Bill, according to the advocates, costs will be shared by the national and local governments. The question is where are they going to get the money when the budget has already been allocated and there is even a budget deficit. Let's crunch numbers.

To make my explanation, simpler. let us use my favorite abacus and the family of Juan.

Juan's household expenses amount to 20,000 pesoses. He is earning 15,000 pesoses only. So where does he get the difference of 5,000? From the loan shark.

Juan represents the Philippines. Twenty thousand represents the budget; the 15,000 represents the proceeds from the taxes and other revenues  and the 5,000 represents the budger deficit which is funded by loans from the public in the kind of bonds, loans from the government institutions and other financial institutions.

Here comes another expense for Juan, Php 2,000. It has to be paid. The missus agreed to allocate a budget for it. So where are they going to get the Php 2,000?

The following are his options:
1. Reduce the budget for other expenses. Perhaps, scrimp on food or reduce the allowances of the children?
2. Borrow some more money from the loan shark.
3. Look for other sources of income.

Applying these examples to the Philippines with regards implementation of RH bill, the Php 2,000 is the budget appropriation. So where are they going to get this money?

1. Reduce the budget for other expenses. Since RH Bill is covered by the Department of Health, some projects may be affected, like the vaccinations of children  etc. if it chose to cut corners on other social services providing the basic immunization. Reduce personnel perhaps.
But there will be a need for additional manpower to implement the information campaign for the population control bill. (There I said it).
2. Borrow some more money. Float more bonds. Incur more interest expenses. Whoa.

The Sailboat

Dear insansapinas,
Before I discuss budget appropriations, allow me to be nostalgic for a few moments by looking at this picture of Matukad Island (matukad in Bicol is to hike) in Caramoan, Bicol.
When I was a pre-kinder, my mom used to bring me to the different islands to visit relatives, attend some family gatherings and or meet-the-old-folks that turned out to be the lolas, the aunties, uncles and cousins, twice, thrice and whatever number removed.

I enjoyed looking at the crystal clear water. My mom told me a story about her adventurous escape from the Japanese soldiers when she was young, just riding a small banca to cross the shark-infested water dividing the different islands in Camarines Sur. My grandmom who was worried was looking out the seas when she spotted a sailboat which was half-submerged in the water. Only the sail and "katig" prevented it from sinking while another boat was pursuing it. Parang pelikula baga. My grandmother only sighed a prayer for whoever was in sinking boat, not knowing it was my mother. My mom told me that she could see the fish swimming around her. The other boat thought that no one would survive in that sailboat so it went back to where it came from. When she emerged from the boat, my grandmother was so emotional that she threatened to "kill" her if she would that stunt again.

The picture above reminded me also of my near-death-experience when I was only five or six years old. Our house was near the beach. Older kids would walk in the sands during ebb tide. Looking for my playmates and skipping the afternoon nap, I started walking the sands, barely noticing that the water was starting  to rise. Then I saw this small island (not really an island but a place which was not yet covered by water. I stood there as I watched the water started to rise to my chest. Ang lakas pa ng current. Wala namang damo doon, so hindi ako masamang damo. hehehe

Camping, Leviste and other Celebrities-The Excuses for Disappointments

Dear insansapinas,
did you see my eyeglasses?
Harold Camping is back after hiding in the motel with the wife when his End-of-the-World-Prediction went pfft last Saturday.

Just like another doomsayer, Sister Thedra from Michigan who predicted the end of the world and that only her group would be saved by a visitor coming from another planet riding a space ship, Camping claimed that the end of the world was postponed to October, 2011 because God is merciful.

Sister Thedra claimed that her group helped in the illumination of the world that saved it. Mga NUTS.

Camping in his press interview said that he is not a financial guru to solve the problem of the believers who sold their properties to donate to his organization and that those who left their jobs will survive just like those who were downsized and terminated in this weak economy.

AFTER THE INTERVIEW, HE ASKED WHERE HE PLACED HIS EYEGLASSES AND WHAT DAY WAS TODAY. TOINKKK (This last statement is not in the news). Just pointing out that he may be having lapses. He said that God is forgiving and merciful, so how come the end of the world is still coming.

Buti pa sina David Koresh, Jim Jones and the cult leader that led the mass suicide in San Diego to ride a spaceship hindi iniwanan ang kanilang mga members. Pinatay nga lang. Sus.

Leviste

The Ex-Governor who was caught by the authorities in his office in Makati claimed that he had a toothache. Dental clinic na pala ang kaniyang opisina. The dental office said that he has no appointment. Tinamaan ng kulog. Talaga palang labas-pasok siya. Tseh.

The Bureau of Corrections investigated the case of Leviste and found out that THERE IS NO PERIMETER FENCE in some sections of the compound. Sonamagan, preso walang bakod? Kahit baboy, mayroong kural para hindi makatakas. Sino ang binibiro nila?

WALA PA RAW CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION CAMERA. Anong klaseng preso yan? Simbahan?
Kahit grocery meron eh.

Sabi nila hindi raw nakilala si Leviste. Bakit pag may lalabas ba sa preso, hindi man lamang sinisita? Panay palusot ang mga taong ito. Ginagawa naman nilang bobo ang mga tao. TSEH.

Ows. Nakipag-away pa nga siya dahil sa billboard.

The Pro RH Bill  were happy when celebrities like Dingdong Dantes (anong malay niya sa population control) ay sumali sa kanilang pag-endorse ng RH Bill pero nang si Manny Pacquiao na ang sumama sa Anti RH Bill, galit na sila.

Sus.

Ows? Baka naman walang bumili ng ticket.

You are Poor Therefore you are of no quality- Fidel Ramos

Dear insansapinas,

I am watching the Criminal Minds where the unsub (suspect) is highly intelligent person with narcissistic personality disorder. He was supposed to be a scion of an old wealthy family. But the disorder runs in the family. Do you consider him high quality person?

After reading this article "The Poor are No Quality People" supposed to have been uttered by the former President of the Philippines, I thought I was brought back during the Nazi times when only the beautiful people (blonde hair, blue eyes should be allowed to propagate). Does he equate social status with quality?

My father-in-law who was a German-Russian descent would have probably said, Isn't that awful?

If Hitler's standard was based on the physical (whites, blonde and blue), it seems to  Ramos, yardstick of quality is the income bracket. Pag ikaw ay mahirap, scavenger, dope pushers; you are low quality.

I know of a personality of having been accused of dope pushing and yet he comes from a powerful and rich clan. Will the smugglers, carnappers, cheats who live in Ayala Alabang quality people? Will the rich storeowners financing the pirated DVDs, CDs and other electronic products, high quality people because they earn millions. They do not beg; they do not steal hundreds but deprive the economy of millions of revenues that were supposed to be used for government programs. The police who protect them are also high quality people?

Are those corrupt government executives in all agencies who have finished their academic degrees in foreign countries high quality people? Does the money in the bank equate with the quality?

So why are there scavengers and poor people in the cities. The politicians brought them every election period, The white collar leaders of syndicates profit from them. The Lina Law protected not the poor but the syndicates managing these colonies of squatters i.e. providing them with power, waters and high calibre lobbyists cum lawyers. Which of the groups are low quality that can be dispensed with?

As I have said, the population growth rate includes migrants to and from a place. Why is Metro Manila crowded with people coming from the South and the boondocks?

Because, the military can not protect them from the insurgents who also tax them for protection.

These people who hop from airconditioned luxury cars to their airconditioned offices would be forced to slip on their jumpsuits or roll their sleeves  to clean their poso negros if there are no poor people whose mental acuity could give them competition in the white collar jobs.

Will the rich people dirty their hands to take care of their garbage? to repair their cars? to drive for them? to cook for them? There are even people/ bloggers who confess that they would not eat side by side with their maids. Sus.

What about the pandhandlers in the street? Even in the first world economy, there are beggars, homeless and society rejects. Some of them go to the streets not because they are of low mentality. In our non-profit organization alone, there are homeless who were former executives who had made wrong decisions in life. They queued in our soup kitchen, day in and day out. One of them was a person whose life was made into a movie Pursuit of Happiness starring Will Smith and his son.

In the domestic front, two movie actresses have already been in the gossip columns that they were seen in the streets mumbling incoherent words which definitely were not part of the scripts. One became a councilor and the other was an award winning actress. They were not on drugs. They were just depressed. Compare them with celebrities who are in the basement of a hospital because of substance abuse, who are high and who are low quality?

The beggars in the streets is a multi-million undeground economy. Don't they realize that? It is an organized crime run by people who are clean, law abiding citizens in their other lives in the society.

My Life as a Cat

Dear insansapinas,
The inventions in Japan are truly amazing. These cat's ears work with the wearer's brain. The only bad news is that it can be used only if you have brain. Members of Congress and government executives who are already "palpak" and yet try to avoid responsibilities are not qualified to wear them. bwhahaha. Tseh,)

*Nabulatlat ng kapatid ko sa web.

In my past life as a cat, the only thing I can do is wear this super costume (Super CAT, mas mukha ng sa daga yong ears. hehehe) so that I can save the world from the false prophets. (nagtago na si Camping). Hindi na siya Happy Camper. I can't even wiggle my whiskers. Toinkk.

Photoshopped picture courtesy of Paulding of My Pinoy Humor.

You're Poor so wala kayong karapatang magpakarami

Dear insansapinas,

“(d) Take active steps to expand the coverage of the National Health Insurance Program (NHIP), especially among poor and marginalized women, to include the full range of reproductive health services and
 supplies as health insurance benefits;

So what kung may sakit kayo sa puso.

It is all about money

Dear insansapinas,

Naah Virginia, I did not blog yesterday because I was expecting Rupture. But as usual, I got interested in the financials of Harold Camping's non-profit organization. Ang salbahe, he predicted May 21 to be the end of the world but Family Radio  postponed the submission of the financials for July. Then Camping wrote a letter of goodbye to his employees; 80 per cent of whom did not believe their leader. bwahaha.

Why did I say, it is about the money?

Since the meltdown of Silicon Valley; the dot.com bust and then the sub-mortgage crisis and Madoffs massive Ponzi scheme, the non-profits that relied on the donations of people barely survived. People  who wanted tax shields for their income dwindled  in number as unemployment rate went up. Aside from cash donations, the non-profits accept  stocks and properties as well. These are sold as the need for cash arises. Idle cash are invested in pension  and other interest earning  funds; many of which dried up courtesy of Madoff. Even non-profits were victims.

I should know. I have been in the non-profit business. The donations for the affiliate church were not enough to sustain its operations as many envelopes sent to regular donors  did not come back. Unlike the organization of Camping, however which relies solely on donations, our non-profit receives grants from the governments and other charitable organizations for its feeding program, drug rehabilitation and housing for the homeless.

Camping;s financials ahowed a decline of assets in 2009. From 86 million, networth was reduced  to  72 million. In the year, 2008, they received a total of 15 million donation but deducted an investment income of 9 million. Investment went awry?
Subsisting mostly in donations, some of its employees must be receiving fat paychecks. One employee said that some of their co-workers recently were driving fancy cars and spending in nice vacations. Although they have no programs to spend on, the expenses exceeded the revenues. No big deal, they are not paying taxes. They are tax-exempt, remember.

So predicting it's the end of the world was a strategy to attract people to donating their assets or proceeds from sale of their properties? Parang Jim Jones. . The only difference was that Jones joined his followers in the mass suicide.

All along many of its members sold their properties because they believed they have no use of them when the end of the world comes.

What happens now to the people who left their jobs in the belief that they are ascending in heaven with Camping? Magkacamping na lang ba sila.

What is his explanation, this time? Abangan.

Generic or Branded Contraceptives: Who may not take oral contraceptives

Dear insansapinas,

A year ago, I got an Italian doctor who does not prescribe branded meds if there are available generic of that type. He explained to me that pharmaceutical companies rather allowed their formerly branded products to be marketed as generic once its patent had already expired. Instead of spending more for its research and development a new formula is developed and marketed as a new product with improved ingredients.

The doctor told me that there is no difference in the quality except perhaps in the packaging because branded comes in fancy bottles or packages.

Now the issue is if ever the RH Bill will be passed into law, how will the target population segment distinguish what is branded and what is generic. Will the government  be getting generic at generic price or generic at branded price? Huh?

Women endorsers of the Bill are too old to use the contraceptives. Over over na silang 35.

Sabihin naman nila, this is not all about contraceptives? They're talking about population and contraceptives prevent pregnancies and pregnancies cause population to grow. Ano ba ang pinag-uusapan natin? Alangan naman yong bagong date ni Pnoy. Ooops.

TSEH.

Who are those who can not use contraceptives?

1. You are pregnant or are breast-feeding
2. You have a history of blood clots, heart disease, or stroke
3. You have high blood pressure or are diabetic

Break-out Kings, Jailbirds and the Bees

Dear insansapinas,

Break-out Kings is a TV series where selected jail inmates are temporarily released to capture break out prisoners. For every jailbreakers they capture, they are given brownie points. Once they finished a mission, they are brought back to their prison cells. This is fiction.

In the Philippines, it is a fact. The capture of the former -Governor Batangas Antonio Leviste who was convicted for killing his aide shows how our judicial system works. He claimed he got a toothache and was looking for a dentist. Sonamagan. Sa Makati pa naghanap.  And the Bureau of Prisons chief is not resigning nor is suspended  and the President believes that he's entitled to due process. Meron na ba siyang inappoint na naalis?

And all along I believed  the story of my mom about my grandmother who found her kababayan imprisoned in Muntinlupa, A day after, that inmate showed up at the doorstep of my grandma's house to get the message from the family. Asked how he was able to get free, my grandma told my mom that he got powers like Houdini. He can escape anytime he wanted. So I was young then, I believed the story hook and sinker. Blah.

A few years ago, there was an assassination. The case became cold, only to find out that the assassin had a permanent address in Bilibid Prison. Ang mga tanong eh, magkano ba?

Why is the End of the World on Saturday ?

Dear insansapinas,
camping

Ah
Ah

No, Virginia, I am not choking. I am just reading why Camping predicted that Saturday is the end of the world. Sorry for late blogging. I took my beauty sleep to dream if there is any calamity coming. It comes in my dream, sometimes especially if I am full.

This -it-is-the-end-of-the-world-business is a tremendous big business, Matilda. Do you know that for the information dissemination alone, Camping spent more than 100 million dollars. No sh*t.

So where did he get the money? As usual for cults like this, the members are encouraged to sell their properties and donate to be sure that they will be included among those who will be taken to Heaven.

How did Camping calculate the date?

Camping cites two Bible passages to determine the date. The Book of Peter implies that the end of the world will occur 7,000 years from the date of the great flood. And the Book of Genesis says the flood occurred on the "17th day of the second month." Taking a look at the Jewish calendar, the de facto guide in that era, May 21, 2011, is the corresponding date. Family Radio predicts that great earthquakes will shake the earth at 6 p.m. on the 21st, continuing for five months.
Is the date Eastern time, Pacific time or time to go and go camping in the boondocks?  In Asia, it is already Saturday. Camping who has predicted the apocalypse in 1994 gave that excuse of miscalculation when the Rapture did not happen. Bigyan nga ng lap top para makapagcalculate. At age 89, I wonder if he is not averse to latest technology. Baka pencil pa ang gamit niya number 2. Round off ang numbers eh.

The Atheist groups are ready to party and many people are inviting others for the Rapture Looting. The world has gone bonkers.

Why Graft and Corruption is the cause of poverty and not overpopulation 2

Dear insansapinas,
Updated:

Definition of terms:
Kasama rin dito ang pilferage, extortion, fraud, NEPOTISM, theft, embezzlement and`falsification of records.

Graft and Corruption sa Department of Health

Minsan kailangang maospital ako at pinalamalapit yong government hospital. Tseh.
Eh yong manganganak, tinatanggihan nila.

RH Bill- Quantifying the Captive Market for Contraceptives

Dear insansapinas,
In February, I wrote the article RH Bill, a big business, facts and questions.

This article,  RH bill a new angle exposed! It's about money! shared my opinion by quantifying the market and the reason why the lobbyists want to get  automatic appropriations for the purchase of the contraceptives.

The debate on the controversial Reproductive Health (RH) bill resumed in Congress this week, where the pros and the antis debate once more on this highly-toxic issue, often with those supporting the RH bill (notice they have dropped their new name Responsible Parenthood and returned to using once again the term Reproductive Health) peddling lies in order to sell their proposed bill. I fully agree with pundits that this controversy has polarized the Filipino people. I would even dare say that something good has come out of this debate because it allowed the Filipino people to totally look at the RH bill from different angles... from the moral, the legal to the economic issue - whether our large population is the cause of our poverty.Yes, those supporting the RH Bill would dare, misinform, cajole or even lie to the Filipino so that they could have this bill passed, while those that are against the RH bill can only tell you one story... the truth! We’ve so often quoted the world’s foremost liar, Joseph Goebbels, Adolf Hitler’s Propaganda Minister (who at the end of the German Reich killed his own family and committed suicide) who made this most quoted quotation, “A lie repeated a thousand times, assumes the substance of truth.”The RH bill has been peddled in Congress since the year 1999 in so many different House Bill numbers, selling us all sorts of lies, like for instance, contraceptives are not abortifacient. The latest that was revealed no less than by the former Health Secretary Esperanza Cabral is that contraceptives can cause breast cancer, though it reduces the risk of cervical cancer. But one good news out of this debate comes from Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile who expressed his opposition to the RH bill saying, “As far as we are concerned here, I don’t think it is a priority. I’ll be very frank with you. As far as I’m concerned, I am not ready to tinker with anything that is an act of God.” Thank God for Sen. Enrile, but what about Sen. Ed Angara and Sen. Miriam Santiago, who recently attacked the Pacman? Ah, that’s what we shall tackle in our column tomorrow.Meanwhile, there’s that alleged anomaly that Senate Majority Leader Vicente Sotto III exposed during his privilege speech concerning a P2.6 billion allocation for Family Health Programs during the time of Health Sec. Cabral dubbed the Maternal Neonatal and Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN) program of the local government units (LGU) which some LGUs say they never got. Sen. Sotto is right in asking for an investigation into this potential mess before the Senate would tackle the RH Bill, which also earmarks a large amount of government funds. There’s more to the corruption issue now plaguing the RH controversy and it’s about money, money and more money from faceless pharmaceutical lobbyists who no doubt are funding Congressmen and women who support the RH Bill. Here’s a letter that reveals this reality.“Dear Bobit, I have always wondered why the RH Bill is being pushed through even though with or without it, the consumer is free to purchase contraceptives in the counter. So I made some analysis. Based on National Census Statistics Board data 2000, about 24 percent of the Philippine population is above 20 years old. Based on the same statistics, about 50 percent of that are females.
“Considering we have a total population of about 90 million that means the total population of Filipinos above 20 years old is about 22 million. Half of that would be 11 million females. This is the present target market for contraceptives. If I am not mistaken, based on what I have found out from the internet, the cost of using birth control pills is about P1,000 a month. “The total potential value of the market in the Philippines is therefore computed to be: 11 million x P1,000 per month x 12 months or a total of P132 billion per year. The problem for the contraceptive manufacturers is that 90 percent of the market belongs to the lower income who cannot afford to spend P1,000 per month. So in order to give this market purchasing power, the RH Bill is now being pushed to enable the government to use taxpayer’s money to subsidize these contraceptives.“To further expand the market, the 10 to 15 years old will be given sex education in school and they will be allowed to purchase contraceptives even without the consent of their parents. That could mean another 4,000,000 potential users. The value of this additional market is calculated to be another P48 billion. Adding the two markets gives us a whooping valuation of P180 billion per year. Now I understand why the RH Bill is being pushed very hard. God bless! - Bobby Tordesillas.”

Why Graft and Corruption is the cause of poverty and not overpopulation

Dear insansapinas,

Besides, my opinion is not based on emotion. Hindi rin ako nakikigaya sa mga celebrities na baka hindi alam na ang growth rate ng population is net of the birth and death and the migration to and from the country.

Every quarter you will read from the news, that the agency did not meet the targeted collection. Bakit Virginia, tanungin ninyo ako? Sige na. Kasi sa graft ang corruption. HOW HOW DE CARABAO does this causes poverty. Teh, mahabang kuento yan. Ito.

Graft and Corruption sa BIR

Ang mga tuition ng mga anak, under Research and Development or Training and Seminars. Creative accounting.  bwajajaja.

NO VIRGINIA.

Tapos nag-eexpand sila sa ibang bansa. Klap, klap, klap ang mga tao. Employment generation? Nah, baby. Kaya nga sila pinapayagang magbusiness sa ibang bansa dahil the business will  generate local employment.

Weh. Wiwithdraw lang, pupunta pa sa HK.

Graft and Corruption sa NFA

Repeal that law of demand and supply. mwehehe

Graft and Corruption sa Customs

Ma ukay-ukay kuno pero yon pala mga mamahaling knocked-off bags, made in China at Korea. PEKE.
