Shower

 Dear insansapinas,

Where have you been? Part 3 ( A story of friendship-this is my tuesday with morrie experience).

Iba pa yong down payment at deposit.

Kumaway din ako sa charge nurse. Akala ko kasi ginigreet lang niya ako. Hinabol niya ako.

" We got a problem. A huge one." Sabi niya.
"The private duty nurse was not able to bring the doctor to the bathroom to give him a shower. She left already." nagsusumbong siya sa akin.

"That's really a problem. What about your floor nurses? Two were assigned to him, isn't it?"

"They tried but he would not budge  from the chair. He was combative". He hurt already one nurse and nobody would like to go near him."

"Where is he?" tanong ko.

"In his room." Don't be surprised if you see him  without a stitch on."
"Good luck!" Pahabol niya.

Gusto kong sumigaw. Sabi ko, I am here. "Your superwoman, ready to save you".

Binitiwan niya ang aking kamay. Nandilat ang kaniyang mga mata. Nakilala ako.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? "
"Home. Got to sleep, shower and change. And I think that is also what you need right now. You scared shit the young ladies and so you did not enjoy a hot shower." sagot ko.

" Why should I get a shower? " Para siyang batang nagtatanong.

"Because, your friend Dr. W is coming to visit you".

" Really? " lumaki ang mata niya.

"You must be very close to each other."

"Oh yes." So who is going to give me a shower?

"I will." Sagot ko.

"But...you are not a nurse."

"The nurses are not available right now" (hindi ko sinasabing takot sa kaniya ang mga narses).

" Bu..."

"Don't worry, I am not gonna look. I will just bring you inside and give you a company.

" It is...not that...it is embarrassing for you to do that." parang hiyang -hiya. (Nasa oras na hindi siya confused).

"Just think of me as your daughter. I would have done to my father if he is still alive".

"But my daughers would not do it for me"...malungkot niyang sinabi.

"Because your daughters are also busy. K is a doctor who must be in the operating room right now to save a life. R is helping your granddaughter to find an aparment in Boston. She has enrolled in Harvard too. The third generation."

"Much as they're busy, they hired a platoon of healthcare workers to take care of you. That is how much they love you.  I am the commander-in chief so I am commanding you to come with me. I would not allow you to stink. You are a very distinguished doctor."

"How did you make him obey you? " bulong niya sa akin.

" It is just communication. People with such kind of issue is normally suspicious if you are not going to explain what you are going to do with him and why".

"You think you are in a wrong profession?" Any thought about career change?"

"Remember, this is but temporary. When A comes back, I got to go."

Dumating si JB. " I understand, there was a situation, this morning. Did I not leave my phone number in the hotel which is just across the street." tanong niya habang hinahalikan ang kaniyang ama.

"Are you a couple? " tanong niya. Sus napagkamalan pa kaming may lover's quarrel.

Umikot ulit ang aking mata. Sa isip ko. NEVER.

Score 2.

Good bye

Dear insansapinas,
Where have you been? Part 2 ( A story of friendship-this is my tuesday with morrie experience).

Good bye, good bye, good bye.

Tinabig niya. Biglang retreat ang nars. Sabi ko iwan na lang niya.

Lumapit ako sa matanda. Hinawakan ko ang kaniyang kamay. Tinabig din niya. Hindi ako kumibo. Tiningnan ko lang siya.

"You want me to leave you for a while? " Is it a bad time to talk?"

Takot siyang pagtawanan. Sa akin ay nagsasalita siya kahit paunti-unti.

"My family left..." nangingilid ang luha niya. "They... said... good bye to me." "They're... not... coming... back."

" They will. Mrs B is just going to the museum. She is a volunteer docent."

"Really?

"Really. And because she can speak five languages fluently, she is assigned mostly to foreign visitors."

"And she's... my ...wife?" nakangiti na siya.

"Yes, she is. Not unless there is another one that I do not know and you are hiding  her somewhere." Alaska ko.

"Silly girl".

Ininom niya kaagad.

Dumating si James Bond. As usual, huli.

"Hi dad".

"Don't say good bye. His brain processed it as abandonment. Say I will be back."

"Now you are a psychologist? Last time I heard, we are paying $200 an hour for the therapist every Tuesday and Thursday" and her name is Martha.

Pinakausap ko na "never say good bye".
Don't say good bye. Say I will be be back. Ala Arnold Shwa.. whatever it is.

Taray. Score 1.

The Money

Dear insansapinas,

Wow daming pera.

May tumutulak sa  pinto. Bog, bog.  Nakiramdam ako. Bog bog. Katok. Nakita na nila ako. Narinig ko ang tawag. Pamilyar sa akin ang boses. Phone, si Ellen. Toinkk. Brother ko dala ko yong cordless.

Nakatulugan ko pala yong binabasa kong nobela. Napanaginipan ko tuloy. Nakasabit sa balikat ko ang laundry bag. Di ko pa naalis ang nalabhang damit. Sus, kala ko totoo na.

Me: Hilew.

Ellen: Bakit yata humihingal ka?

Me: May humabol sa akin?

Ellen: Sino? Hindi ka naman lumalabas ng bahay. Wala namang aso diyan.

Me: Nanaginip naman ako. Anong balita.

Blah blah blah.

The Conversation with a mouse

Dear insansapinas,
My imaginary cat has an imaginary friend...the mouse. Listen to their talk.

Cat: Well mouse, when are you moving to that palace by the filthy river?

Mouse: Cat, how long have you been hiding in your litterbox...the news is that my boss is planning to stay in his Times residence.

Cat: What? Is he serious? Just think of the security problem it is going to create...the chaos in the village it is going to bring and the traffic it is going to cause when the CHOSEN ONE is going to report to the palace for his 9-5 job as the president.

Mouse: I know. Think of me failing to hitch in the boxes of the movers because things will not be moved. Caramba. I will not have the chance to meet my ratrelatives who were there even after changes in the occupants of the old palace.

Cat:  Kris will be disappointed. She will not have the chance to redecorate the palace and give her best friend Boy Abunda (if he is not appointed yet as ambassador) the exclusive coverage of the place.

Mouse: Cat, it is Kris who believed that Malacanan has a bad fengshui because of the dirty Pasig River.

Cat: shuchks, fengshui ? I thought that it is just a movie.

Mouse: I think you need to have a change of litterbox. The smell has an effect on your brain.

Conversation wih a Cat in a T-shirt

Dear insansapinas,

My imaginary cat is wearing a t-shirt. Remnant of the just concluded election.

Me: You are the walking evidence why the economy recorded a growth rate of 7.3 GDP in the first quarter. The t-shirt business and other campaign materials boomed since late 2009.

Cat: It is free. Why do you think humans braved the heat to welcome the candidates...not to listen to their speeches but to catch the freebies being distributed.  I collected a dozen of them. meow. It is not true that it did not trickle to the poor. The marginalized sector will have a lot of trash to sell for recycling including empty plastic bottled water. Isn't election, great? *wink*

Me: Yep and wait for the increase in bank rates to wipe the excess liquidity in the financial system.

Cat: By that time, I will have new progressive glasses, new wardrobe and new hair cut.
Me: Why?

Part of the image in the " The Making of a Politicat" where even the shoes that one wears is scrutinized by the constituents.

Me : Really?

Cat: Really. Do you know that even dogs are part of the image creation. In the US, an elected official should have a family dog. Better with a family and kids. A single politician with no family is regarded as someone afraid of responsibility or commitment.

Me: You are reading too much novels again, cat. In the real world in  Pinas, the elected officials have no time for pets because they have to battle with real PESTS. Many of our politicians have more than one family. Some of their pets are tigers, crocodiles and lions. Can you imagine that?

Cat: Can I have coffee, make it decaf. It lowers blood pressure.

Me: I thought cats drink milk only.

Cat: I am lactose intolerant and cats are not allowed in coffee shops.

Where have you been

Dear insansapinas,
A story of friendship part 1-this is my tuesday with morrie experience.

I looked at the old man in the wheelchair. A few months ago, he would greet us with his dashing smile, wearing his favorite butterfly necktie and sports jacket while walking side by side with his wife of more than 50 years. He attended informal meeting with his colleagues in the medical field.

That day, I thought that he would never recognize me. News was that, he became quiet and withdrawn.  When I went to his private room in the facility, he seemed oblivious to the people around him, the nurses, the visitors,  the daughter and son, James Bond.

He looked up at me and said, "Where have you been?" At first, his face registered anger as if he was waiting for me and  that I did not come as promised, then he held my hands and smiled. It melted my heart. His daughter sighed a relief and gestured if I was accepting the offer. James Bond had a poker face. I knew he did not approve of me.

A few months ago that year, the doctor's lawyer-daughter  handed me my last paycheck. Her dad who diagnosed himself with Alzheimer's was already committed to a skilled facility. She, as the executor was going abroad and a CPA was retained to handle the accounting and tax matters. The  caregiving of the old doctor was left to his son and the former housekeeper who would be in charge of the hiring of the 3 shift nursing care aside from the 24 hour available nurses in the facility. Payroll will be done by the accountant on a retainer and paychecks will be directly deposited to the employees' bank account.

If it were JB who would make the decision, I would be out. He favored one former employee.  Masyado raw mataray.

I did not look for another employment since I was busy with the school for nurses that my friends/former MBA students  were putting up. They raised the capitalization while I  will be managing it when it becomes operational. It was my brainchild as a backward integration strategy for recruitment of nurses for the partners'  nursing registry business. The graduates were assured of jobs upon graduation  and the registry will not run out of new applicants.

Then came the call. My future sis-in-law offered me a temporary job of managing the care of his father. The housekeeper got pregnant and she contracted gestational diabetes which required her to stay in the hospital for a long duration.

Should I accept the temporary position, I will be tasked to take care of the hiring, training and supervision of the private duty nurses who alternately watched the doctor on an eight- hour shift each.  I was not a nurse and except for the brief experience in the hospital when I took the short term course for nursing to know how a nursing school is run and to get copies of the syllabi and insructional materials, I was not aware of the  tremendous responsibility when nurses failed to report.

Part of my tasks was to  liaise with the administrator/nurses of the facilities and report to the family whatever was required and needed to comply with.  If you think, caring for an Alzheimer's who was combative was easy, you should have been there when after a day of hiring, the nurse assistant would simply say, it was her first and last day. Then the search will start all over again. The turnover was high. The ladies were scared of him especially when he refused to be touched.

I did not know that when I said yes... the working  relationship was the one that I would treasure the most despite the tears, the fears and the anxieties.

It gave me an education that was not evidenced by certificates but the experience was forever etched in my heart and the scars were left in my arms.

Crucial Conversations

Dear insansapinas,
 photocredit: Richie's gallery

Thunder and lightning.

We had some lightning bolts early morning today. I wondered if Bossing is playing bowling or is pissed again.

After, it settled, I thought I fell asleep or was I dreaming?

God: You are not talking to me?

Me: Well, G is that you? So very ancient and jurassic to announce your entry. I did not expect you to just pop out after those eardrum-shattering lightnings. The meteorologist said that we will have thunderstorm tonight.

God: Oh I do not like your high technology...they come and go but mine have been there even before your planet earth was created. Helllooooow.

Me: So to what do I owe this visit?

God: Well I saw that you're mean today. While you are listening to my priest, you were thinking of what to blog.

Me: Hellow, can I not have privacy in my thoughts?  Can you not wait for my confession that I entertain silly thoughts while listening to the boring homily of your priest. I think he will be good in lulling people to sleep. no offense, my Lord.

God: And when did you confess? (His brows are all up and His eyes almost pop out from their sockets).

Me: Okay, so I have not confessed for a long time to the priest but did I not whisper to you some of my sins?

God: Did you feel sorry when you gave your friend some piece of your mind when she called tonight.

Me: Ow,that. Guffaw. As you know this friend hang up on me a few months ago. Just because she could not believe what the news was saying about kris aquino. Babaw di va. Then she denied that she did that disrespect thing to me . One thing I would not tolerate is someone hanging up on me. You can tell me that you're going to the bathroom or your house is on fire but never put down the phone while I am in the middle of my talk. Grrrr.

God: So did you not just delete a forwarded e-mail of inspirational messages and prayers which ought to be spread to many people by sending them to your friends? (I can see a naughty glint in his eyes).

Me:  You also invade my e-mail? That e-mail has a lot of e-mail addresses that would fill in a book, so loooong that when you reach the message, it was truncated. hohohoho

I am not against receiving inspirational messages but it seems these people have configured their e-mail to forward e-mails of this kind even without bothering to read. Duh.

God: I am not invading your e-mail. i am reading your thoughts which these days seemed to have stagnated.

Me: Excuse me? You gave me a 141 IQ when I was young (gasgas na yata), an EQ of 70;  a blood pressure of 250 and a blood sugar of 300.

God: Well, you did not congratulate me for keeping my hands off from your election. The people who claimed I anointed them did not win.

Me: Oh, I am not happy with the results. The dynasties are still there. The same old faces. The action stars who were sidelined by the dying film industry are lording it over the Senate. After many months, you will find them back to silent movies.

God: Oh humans.

Me: But the cheaters are not humans. they said they're koalas.

God: got to go, I do not know where this conversation is heading to.

Me: I know. We're going to discuss the 7.3  GDP, the fiscal policy that needs to be adopted before there is inflation with so much money in circulation; the tendency of the prices are going up as inflation hits the new administration.

God: Really got to go. I do not want you when you talk about economics. I prefer you talking about showbiz. It gives me a lot of stress that I want to go back to smoking.

Me: You smoke?

God: What do you think where that smoke from volcano coming from.

Me: Come on. it is my grandma who told me silly stories. ZZZZZZZ

God: And I have not even talk to her that there is no such thing as late pregnancies at late 40s. It is just some blokes are playing gods.

Me: Oh I heard that. my friend who married late and had a daughter when she was already 40 called. She said she bought a pregnancy tester. I asked her why. She said she missed her period.

I did not attempt to tell her that could it be menopausal?

Ardi Rizal chain smokes

Dear insansapinas,

No relation to our national hero. Ardi is a two-year old boy from Indonesia who smokes 40 cigarettes a day and the parents did not mind because he is going to go into tantrums when he is not allowed to smoke. He started  smoking when he was 1 and one half year old.

Sus.

Sometimes I want to quit

Dear insansapinas,
photocredit: msnbc

"Talking to myself and feeling low, sometimes I want to quit ..." This is the first line in the lyrics of the Carpenters' song.

Naah, although I  sometimes entertain this thought...this does not pertain to me. I like to believe that somehow, I have touched many peoples' lives and I met people who were very helpful to me when was in my lowest.  Heaven sent, ikanga. Naksakay pa sa kotse.

I like to relate it to the President-malapit ng magsumpa Noynoy Aquino who has been receiving unsolicited advice to quit smoking.

I like to dedicate this also to Willie Revillame whose request for release from the contract was not approved by the ABS-CBN management. He likes to quit already, people.
The statement also underscored that "ABS-CBN and Willie agreed that he takes an indefinite leave.
Indefinite ba yong three months?
Third is Kris Aquino whose farewell to the two talk shows was "corrected" by someone to be LOA only. I do not believe that she is leaving show biz. Parang inalis mo ang isda sa tubig.

I remember a friend and a President of a corporation. One day, he said, he was quitting. And`we did not see him anymore.

The Remote and the Umbilical cord

Dear insansapinas,
The Remote

If the remote could only talk and whine, mine could have wrestled me to stop last night. There were three shows that I was watching. All of them are in their season finale.arghhh.

The Dancing with the Stars started at 8 ET. Yes, Nicole won. Yehhey. Then there is the NCIS-original and the NCIS-LA which some people should watch so they will know that there is indeed a mobile phone jammer or signal blocker and even the more sophisticated computer security system can be hacked by sixteen year olds and or the geeks attending the hackers convention somewhere in Vegas.

Naah, I did not watch the American Idol. I was turned off by the prediction of Simon Cowell as to who is going to bring home the title.

The Umbilical Cord

Gone were the days when mothers used "bigkis" to their newborn babies.

It was my midwife-aunt who explained to me the use of the bigkis. When she cut the umbilical cord, she left a few inches, covered it with gauze and adviced the mothers not to wet it when bathing the baby. She let the dried umbilical cord to dry and fall after a few weeks. She said that it conserved some "nutrients" coming from the mother to pass thru the cord. She was not schooled and hardly finished her grade school.

Then comes this article, years after she died and decades after my midwife great grandmother died and all the midwives in the family. I realized that the family is in the healthcare even when we were not born yet.

Wait to cut umbilical cord, study says

Baby may benefit from not clamping until cord quits pulsing.

When the practice of immediate cord clamping first began about a half century ago, the value of cord blood, especially its stem cells , which can develop into a suite of other cells, was not known. But now we know that stem cells have many therapeutic properties, Sanberg told LiveScience.
They could have  asked  the  Filipino midwives who preserved the cords for future use for medicinal purposes. They could have listened to these old folks who use "bigkis" not only to prevent "kabag" of babies(this is often the source of problem of crying babies, the whole night).

The Royal Family

Dear insansapinas,

Sarah Ferguson, the former wife of the Queen's second son, Prince Andrew, has apologised for a "serious lapse in judgment" after she was exposed by a News of the World sting operation in which she promised to obtain access to her former husband in return for £500,000.
In probably her most personally damaging mistake throughout a somewhat gaffe-strewn career, the Duchess of York appears to have fallen for the Sunday newspaper's undercover reporter Mazher Mahmood, who specialises in exposés. He revels in the nickname of the "fake sheik".

The K moments and the Mouse

Dear insansapinas,

There are several meanings of K in my life; one of which is Katangahan. I got  new lap top, a Toshiba. I fell in love with Toshiba ever since I bought my first  back in 2001. I was moonlighting as accountant during weekends and I got to bring some work at home.
This is not a paid advertisement.

Top of the line, it was expensive then. I gave it to my tsikiting gubat after five years. He has already an assembled pc but he passed it on to the tsikiting gubast second generation who are going to shame the not so geeky relatives in navigating  the internet.(filters and parental guidance installed).

When I took my vacation, this year, it is still breathing. The tsikiting gubats, second generation are using it for their art works. They already painted letters to the keypad.

Toshiba number 2 was bought for me by my brother when I got sick.
I hurt a lot those days that I could not move my laptop from bedroom to living room.  At the time, I had a Sony courtesy of my other brother. It was  in my bedroom and the Toshiba in front the TV. Sony is already gone. Nasunog and battery.

Now I have my third Toshiba. I made a resolve not to eat in my favorite seafood restaurant for months, won't order KFC for another few months and my favorite pizza for a few months too.
Force of habit. When I was young, I set aside a fraction of my allowance  for whatever I like to buy. Now, I spend first and save later. hohoho

Yesterday, I tried to use the new pc. The wireless mouse won't work. I can not find the touch pad. Yon pala hindi mo talaga makikita kasi it is so designed that there are no lines, no depressed or embossed rectangle. I also do not know the password.  I would like to use it yesterday, but  I can't. Arggh

When my brother came, he showed me where to flick the mouse. Ang hanep, may on and off na pala yong binili niyang wireless microsoft. K atanga ko talaga.  K atamad ko talagang magbasa ng manual. K ainis talaga ang sarili ko. Iba kasing brand ang gamit kong wireless noon. Palusot pa. K ulit talaga. k pa rin.

Broken Heart Syndrome

 Dear insansapinas,

Inis ako. kaya medyo nagchill out ako.

Officially known as takotsubo cardiomyopathy, broken heart syndrome is a rare heart condition with symptoms that can mimic those of a heart attack.

Although they aren’t certain, experts believe takotsubo cardiomyopathy is triggered by adrenaline and other hormones that flood the body in response to a stressful event, be it the death of a loved one, the loss of a job, a mugging, or even walking in to your surprise birthday party.

“Any kind of sudden stress response can cause weakening of heart muscle, whether it’s sudden fear—someone holding a gun to your head—or the distress your body goes through in the middle of a bad infection or stroke,” says Dr. Wittstein.

Stress is involved in 9 out of 10 cases of broken heart syndrome, Dr. Wittstein adds—including that of the betrayed woman.

Speeding

Dear insansapinas,

Ayun, nabawi niya yong binayad niya.

Pmwehehe.

Library

Dear insansapinas,

I did a second glance to the driver of the Mercedes sports car.

Nagmumultitask, running/jogging, walking the dog and the baby. Tseh.

It's Saturday morning. Once or twice a month, my brod and I go to the bank and library. Whoppeee.
To the bank... to check if my $ 15 deposit has already gained interest. mweheehe. And to the library...well you know, what do you do in the library? Alangan namang mamalengke ka. Although the library near our place was not as big as in SF main, there are a lot of novels, audio and Dvd/cd of old movies. I saw this morning, a DVD of the movie, The Bridge of the River Kwai, one of my favorite movies about principle, team work and honor.Siguro kasi this library is servicing the community of retirees and old people (yon ang mga nakikita ko, at di ko sinasabing matatanda ang nakatira sa malapit sa library, although may nakita yata akong isang community living residence, a few blocks away ) who have already the luxury of reading best sellers' novels. Yong mga nagtatrabaho, walang time, magbasa. There are not so many textbooks either since, there are not so many students in this place. Far away from a college or a university.

I wish meron din sa Pilipinas ng kagaya ng library dito sa States where you can borrow, then renew online and borrow again an unlimited number of books. This afternoon, I brought home a dozen of books which I checked out in the DIY counter. It is a pity that there are not so may library users here so that the computers are free and except for a few whose browsing in the shelves, I did not see so many people. In SF, you have to wait for your turn to use the PC. I ususally brought with me my laptop because there is a  wifi connection.

Pagdating sa bahay, after tsismis with my friend about the Phil. politics and showbiz, I cleaned the bath and the kitchen. umuusok na clorox ang ginamit ko. Yong mga ibang panlinis, nag-iiwan ng residue.

Without taking my lunch, but nibbling the dark choc russel stover (meron na siyang sugar free, yeheey), sinimulan ko ng basahin ang istorya about a pharaoh.

ACADEME

 Dear insansapinas,

Before I joined the academe, I just had resigned from a company where I was the chief accountant. After installing the accounting system, the president of the corporation (closed corporation) thought it was beneficial for them to give the position to his unemployed brother-in-law. As if it was not enough, he asked me to break- in the man who would not pass the CPA board exam several times. I left the company. walang mahabang sulat. tseh nila. Idinemanda ko ng wrongful termination, walang nangyari. Wala naman akong abugado.

I decided to try the academe thinking that in the institutions where professionals are expected to be morally upright there will be no intrigues, no discrimination and no corruption or fraud. I WAS WRONG.

So when I read this article from manila standard, even if the investigation has not yet been finished and the accused is still given the benefit of doubt, I can say that there are really  cases when the top position of a university is being given to those "favored ones".

The Ombudsman ordered CHED Chairman Emmanuel Angeles to enforce the order against Umar, whose case stemmed from a complaint filed by Sahajim H. Hassan, former president of the Tawi-tawi regional college.
Hassan accused Umar of asking for money with the promise to make him college president.
“The money was deposited to the accounts of Umar, her daughter Rihanned M. Umar, and a certain Romeo S. Alcala, all at the Land Bank of the Philippines. Sometime in 2006, respondent asked for and received the amount of P500,000 from the complainant coupled with the same promise of making the latter president of TRAC,” the complainant said.

Ganito yon.

Boss: Gear up, long drive tayo sa...(insert yong probinsiya).

Mabait raw ako. pag tulog at di naghihilik. Saka sabi niya malakas daw akong makaintimidate pag kasama ako. OO kaagad. Anong akala niya sa akin, bodyguard?

Pagdating sa university, sabi ni boss, pipray over daw kami noong presidente. Relihiyosa kasi.

Tseh. If I know, kailangan doon Christian, eh ako, saradong katoliko. Hindi nga lang nakasusi.

The Appointment

Dear insansapinas,

tick tock tick tock, it was10 a.m. grabbed my keys, my glasses and small backpack. i was standing beside the mail-box by 10:05 waiting for my ride. got an appointment with a specialist. 10:30, no sign of the van. checked my cell to call the dispatcher. Arghhh, got the cell but forgot the phone number in the card. toink toink. checked the novel that i brought. ewww.  it was the novel with full of french words that i could not understand what the author was saying. (the place was not even in france).  checked my reading glass. wala. may libro walang salamin. may cell, walang phone number. what a day.

11:00 i was about to turn around and go home to call the doc that i will not be coming when i saw the van coming from  the side entrance. iba pala ang pipick-upin. it is a young man with full of bandage in his arm. i signalled the driver and he drove to my direction.he looked at me and said, ' i did not know that i am picking up a woman". arabo ang driver. wafu siya pero day ang accent niya ang bigat. kasimbigat ng isang sakong bigas. it turned out na dalawa pala kami doong tumawag for doc's appointment.

thank my guardian angel, i made it to my appointment on the dot. it is the specialist that i did not like. she is a young woman. after checking the gadget that i brought, she said i am okay. what okay? she did not even examine me physically. hmph. kabata-bata pa, tamad na.

i took the elevator down and sat in one of the benches in the lobby to wait for my ride. isa't kalahating oras na hintayan.  mabuti na yong matagal maghintay kaysa ako ang hinihintay. hhhm after lunch na, gutom ako when i saw people getting by with their to-go-ordered food. a pakistani woman approached me showing a phone number. anuhin ko yong phone number? she can not speak english. yon pala, nanghihiram ng cell phone para tawagan yong number na nasa papel. sabi ko wala akong cell. parang bigla akong sinapok ng anghel ko sa balikat. eh sus naman, baka makipag-usap ng matagal yon, laking babayayan sa cell. ah ah, wala talaga.

ow there was n incident when my blood sugar was bungee jumping and i was about to collapse in a grocery store. i approached the lady who was in the counter and asked if i can make a call. she asked the permission of her manager and called my brother to pick me up. ayan kasi layas eh.

at sa airport nga pala when i was stranded. yong assistant ko ang tumawag sa hotel at brother ko that flights were cancelled. but i did not make the phone call. siya ang tumatawag.

the van came. there was another passenger. an old woman with a walking stick. it was the same driver. nagladlad na siya mama. dahil matrapik, nandoon kumanta siya. then sumayaw sa upuan.kulang na lang niyang tumayo at mag-ala dancing with the stars siya. minsan  para akong nanonood ng cartoon. nandoong ilagay niya ang kamay niya sa mata niya na para bang telescope na tinitingnan niya lung gaano kahaba ang traffic.  sigaw siya ng sigaw ng aha, aha, aha while clicking his fingers to the tune of an imaginary music.  i was entertained.

Simon Cowell

Inamin ni Simon Cowell sa Oprah  na marami siyang mga pagkakamali lalo't he feels very down.

"I made some absolutely horrific mistakes. I believed my own ego, believed my own hype, believed my own abilities, and lots of times it came crashing down," he said. "I thought I was absolutely untouchable."
But life hasn't always been kind. He recalled the time 20 years ago when he lost his job, car and home and had to move back to live with his parents in Britain when a business deal went wrong.

Willie Revillame

source:
http://www.pep.ph/news/25641/Willie-Revillame-asks-ABS-CBN-to-release-him

Sabi nga ni Cowell, I got an enormous ego, I thought I am untouchable.

White Hair, Bok choy, and Exploding Head Syndrome

Dear insansapinas,

Alopecia areata is an autoimmune condition that attacks hair follicles, causing pigmented hair such as black, brown, red, or blonde to fall out, leaving the gray and white nonpigmented hairs behind. (Eventually most people lose all their hair entirely.) “If someone has salt-and-pepper hair – a mixture of gray and black – and they develop alopecia areata, the dark hairs can fall out quickly,” he says. “So it appears that they’ve gone gray overnight.

Researchers who have studied historical references to the phenomenon also believe a “sudden” change in hair color could also be traced to hair dye simply washing out.

Hanubayan.

Parang ang babaw ng eksplanasyon. Kailangan pang sisirin. Sisid, sisid.

Bok choy

Siguro naman alam ninyo ang bok choy. Ito ang pechay ng mga Chinese.

The woman showed up at a New York emergency room last summer, complaining she couldn’t walk or swallow. But the real trouble, according to a report in Wednesday’s New England Journal of Medicine, was that she’d been chowing down on 2 to 3 pounds of bok choy every day for several months in hopes of controlling her diabetes.

Yon pala kinakain niya ng hilaw. Whew.

Exploding Head Syndrome

Sabi sa article:

Marie Raymond sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night, heart pounding, freaked out by the sound of her name being shouted loud and clear. Other times she’ll be awakened by the sound of a huge crash, as if someone has broken a window or knocked over a set of dishes.

Kris Aquino is giving up two talk shows

 Dear insansapinas,

Dito saludo ako kay Kris Aquino. She is cognizant of her weakness ...that of being tactless and she knows that it could affect his brother as a President of a nation beset with problems.

Sabi niya:

SACRIFICE I'M MAKING."  Kris thanked  the people who have supported her throughout her stay in show business and asked for understanding.
"Sana po, lahat kayo na sumubaybay, most especially sa mga sumusubaybay sa The Buzz, Boy [Abunda, her co-host and talent manager], kasi 11 years nating pinagsamahan 'yon... In fact, I love the program.

"It is a choice, a sacrifice I'm making, kasi napakahirap po na any comment I make can be misinterpreted.

She added, "He will have enough problems, solving everything that is a crisis here. So, I'm giving that to Noy. I want Noy to succeed because I gave it my entire life to help him win."

With this decision, Kris would be giving up a lot of opportunities.  However, the TV personality had to do it for her family.

He needs someone who he can trust sa dami ng vultures na nakaabang.

Rolleyes.

Hayden Kho's spirtual journey sa Dancing with the Stars Arghhhh

Dear insansapinas,

Ganito yon, nanonood ako ng Dancing with the Stars, noong Tuesday. May ininterview si Tom Bergeron yong costume designer. Sabi kasi ni Mama Vicki, kailangan ni Hayden Kho na pumunta si Hayden sa US for spiritual journey nang sitahin sa pag-alis despite sa no departure order.

Ngayon sigurado na ako.

Ito ang balita sa  PEP

Ito ang video. Copy the link. http://www.pep.ph/peparazzi/view/3741/AHA-Vicki-at-Hayden-sa-Dancing-With-The-Stars

Kahit matanda talaga, sinungaling. hehehe

Hindi raw alam ni Hayden. Ows.

Dear insansapinas,

Whistleblower

Pagkatapos maging whistleblower, kakandidato. hehehe

A videotaped interview with an alleged whistleblower revealed details of an alleged massive rigging of the May 10 polls, tagging, among others, vice presidential frontrunner and Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay as among those who paid ‘players’ to manipulate results.

The video was shown before members of the media on Tuesday in a forum sponsored by the Catholic Media Network. It was attended by presidential candidates Nicanor Perlas, Jamby Madrigal, and JC De Los Reyes, as well as Sen. Aquilino Pimentel and former Sen. Francisco Tatad.

Umaatikabong imbestigayonan na naman ito. Tapos walang mangyayari?  Ang gulo talaga ng aking bansang Pilipinas. Magulo pala ang mga pulitiko. tse.

Karugtong

May gulong pala yon. Puwede palang itulak lang. (Sampal noo). Kalaking tanga ko talaga. Paalala ninyong kasama ako sa parada bukas. Parada ng mga tanga. majorette ako. Ako yong pinaiikot. acheche
